Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sourcing Leader-Facilities Management/Corporate Services.

In this role, the successful candidate should have exceptional and results-driven Strategic Sourcing Leader to guide and elevate sourcing efforts for enterprise-wide Facilities Management and Indirect spend. Reporting to the Senior Sourcing Manager, this high-impact role calls for an experienced professional who is equipped to lead strategic sourcing initiatives that drive substantial business value, enhance stakeholder relationships, and deliver measurable cost efficiencies while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.The Strategic Sourcing Leader will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to design and implement sourcing strategies that address complex challenges within critical departments such as Real Estate Development and Facilities (RED+F), Environmental Services (EVS), and Building Services. The ideal candidate will possess a future-forward mindset, superior analytical ability, and exceptional communication skills to elevate sourcing practices to new levels of innovation and excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop Sourcing Strategies Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across departments, aligning sourcing initiatives with organizational priorities and proactively identifying new opportunities for value creation, efficiency, and cost savings. Develop, manage, and own the procurement pipeline for assigned categories in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Execute Sourcing Initiatives - Own the end-to-end RFx and contract negotiation process for assigned categories. Apply advanced project management methodologies and market trend analysis to assess opportunities that ensure optimal supplier performance while improving compliance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Partner with stakeholders to assess business needs, optimize supplier performance expectations, and develop scopes of work for bid packages.
  • Cost Savings Identify, implement and quantify strategic sourcing savings and value creation opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Presentations Confidently present strategic sourcing opportunities, outcomes and recommendations to senior hospital leadership and executive stakeholders, leveraging exceptional communication and storytelling skills. Draft clear, concise, and professional presentations to support award recommendations, project updates, upcoming sourcing initiatives, and other strategic conversations.
  • Business Process Optimization Partner with internal stakeholders to improve business processes. Identify opportunities for efficiency in the sourcing process and lead projects to execute improvements.
  • Market Research and Data Analysis - Leverage advanced analytical skills and market intelligence tools to extract actionable insights from complex data sets. Employ critical thinking skills to identify sourcing opportunities, articulate findings clearly, and recommend strategies that balance end-user needs with evolving market conditions.
  • Contract Negotiation - Conduct negotiations with suppliers and analyze contractual verbiage to ensure the hospital's interests are protected while fostering positive relationships with suppliers. Draft contract terms supporting our business requirements, including clearly defined service expectations/goods specifications, performance measurement practices and shortfall remedies. Redline consulting, service, and product purchase agreements to align with organizational standards set by the Office of General Counsel. Coach junior team members on negotiation techniques and strategies.
  • Supplier Relationship Management - Partner with stakeholders to develop SLAs to ensure optimal supplier performance; implement quarterly business reviews to track performance and develop mutually beneficial supplier relationships. Assist departments with implementation of new products and services.
  • Relationship Building Develop strong relationships with department end users by meeting regularly and ensuring alignment between their goals and the strategic sourcing roadmap.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Minimum of five (5) years, strategic sourcing responsibilities with specific commodity experience in the facilities management and indirect spend for both products and services within and outside healthcare organizations
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc).
Knowledge of procure-to-pay and strategic sourcing processes
Experience running facilities-related sourcing events for large, multi-location organizations

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Minimum of three years, strategic sourcing responsibilities for various commoditiesboth products and services within and outside healthcare organizations of work experience in operational, procurement, sourcing. High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of procurement/sourcing process Desired Skills Sets: Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data in excel - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent customer service skills; Knowledge and understanding of sourcing/procurement. Ability to follow a process based on documented guidelines. The candidate has the ability to take direction form senior leaders in department

Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.95 - $117,112.89 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
