Job Title: Project Accountant Location: Gwinnett County, GA Industry: Construction We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected Construction company based in Gwinnett County seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join their growing team. This hands-on role requires close collaboration with Project Managers to ensure financial accuracy and control throughout the lifecycle of each project. Key responsibilities include: Set up new projects in the accounting system Monitor and track project costs Ensure accurate coding of invoices and expenses Manage AIA billing process Process subcontractor payments Oversee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies Collaborate with Project Managers and Operations to review financial progress Handle all other project-related accounting tasks as needed Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in project accounting within the construction industry Proficiency in project-specific accounting software Advanced Excel skills Preference given to those with Business or Accounting degree. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Demonstrated experience with AIA billing Stable work history required for consideration Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
