JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Applications Analyst with expertise in Epic Wisdom to join our dynamic team. This Epic Applications Analyst will play a critical role in the implementation and installation of Epic applications, including module upgrades, new components, and modifications. The position is responsible for workflow configurations, go-live support, and ongoing client support. You will also configure application settings and validate configurations. This is a senior role within Epic Practice Management system products. As an Application Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze business processes, and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Epic Wisdom applications.

*This is a hybrid role that requires you to work onsite at our office for 2-3 days per week. Candidates residing near Oakland, CA are highly preferred.*

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Epic Wisdom Implementation:
    • Lead the end-to-end setup and implementation of the Epic Wisdom system, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including clinical staff, IT professionals, and business analysts, to gather requirements and customize the system accordingly.
    • Familiarity with dental practices' workflows particularly interaction of clinical users with scheduling and billing team, patient experiences within the organization
  • Configuration and Customization:
    • Configure Epic Wisdom modules to meet the specific needs and workflows of our healthcare organization.
    • Implement customizations and enhancements to optimize system performance and usability.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer:
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to the new Epic Wisdom system.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams, empowering them to effectively manage and maintain the system post-implementation.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the IT team to integrate Epic Wisdom with existing infrastructure and other healthcare information systems.
    • Provide regular updates on implementation progress, addressing challenges and ensuring effective
  • Epic Wisdom System Support:
    • Provide day-to-day support for the Epic Wisdom application, addressing end-user issues, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring system stability.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve any infrastructure-related issues affecting the Epic Wisdom system.
  • System Optimization:
    • Analyze and evaluate existing Epic Wisdom workflows, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
    • Work closely with end-users and stakeholders to understand their requirements and implement enhancements to streamline processes.
  • Implementation and Upgrades:
    • Participate in the planning and execution of Epic Wisdom system upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations.
    • Collaborate with the IT team to implement new modules and features within the Epic Wisdom application.
  • Training and Documentation:
    • Develop and deliver training programs for end-users on Epic Wisdom functionalities and best practices.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Epic Wisdom configurations, workflows, and customizations.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with other IT professionals, clinical staff, and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into actionable plans for the Epic Wisdom system.
    • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing updates on project statuses, issue resolutions, and system improvements.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an Epic Applications Analyst, with a strong focus on Epic Wisdom modules.
  • Epic Wisdom certification required.
  • Familiarity with other Epic applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills to form actionable suggestions supporting business requirements.
  • Excellent communication, influence, presentation, team, and interpersonal skills; able to present goals, project scope, and requirements to any level in the organization.
  • Experience with healthcare information systems in a clinical setting (preferred).
  • Ability to conceptualize business problems and develop out-of-the-box solutions.
  • Champion of change, process improvement, and best practices for both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to train, lead, and mentor others by sharing subject matter expertise and knowledge.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with project management skills.
  • Leading, coordinating, and facilitating effective meetings.
  • User-focused design and data visualization skills.
  • Proficiency and demonstrated experience with analytics tools.
  • Understanding of system build, end-user workflows, and patterns of use.
  • Ability to understand stakeholder needs and demonstrate creative thinking to provide innovative solutions and recommend system and process enhancements.
  • Ability to offer solutions to resolve risks, conflicts, and assumptions.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to gain an overview and dive into details independently.
  • Moderate experience with agile methodologies (Kanban boards or Sprints).

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 21. $80,500 - $174,300
