About the role

We are seeking a skilled Engineer for VMware vCloud Foundation (VCF) and Aria Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing VMware VCF and Aria solutions to support our cloud infrastructure needs. This role requires a deep understanding of VMware technologies, cloud architecture, and virtualization concepts, with a focus on leveraging VMware Aria for cloud management and optimization.

As an Engineer you will:

  • Design, and deploy VMware vCloud Foundation (VCF) environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement VMware Aria solutions for cloud management, cost optimization, and resource monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Optimize VCF and Aria performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system reliability and security.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to VCF and Aria architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Implement automation and orchestration solutions using VMware Aria Automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders regarding VCF, Aria, and related technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest VMware technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and enhancements.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff on VMware technologies, VCF, and Aria best practices.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience with VMware vCloud Foundation, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and VMware Aria.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and data center architecture.
  • Experience with automation tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform, particularly in the context of Aria Automation.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, storage solutions, and security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with VMware VKS (vSphere Kubernetes Service) and VMware private AI is considered an asset.
