Job Summary:

As Senior Director of Finance - U.S. Land segment, you will be the financial steward of a dynamic and evolving business. You'll partner with commercial and operational leaders to drive profitable growth, optimize performance, and support strategic initiatives across our U.S. retail and wholesale operations. This role is pivotal in enabling data-driven decisions, ensuring financial integrity, and building scalable infrastructure to support both organic and acquisitive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance Leadership

  • Partner with commercial teams to evaluate growth opportunities, including M&A and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead financial assessments of customer and supplier economics to identify margin improvement opportunities.
  • Shape segment strategy in alignment with enterprise goals and market dynamics.

Performance & Transformation

  • Sponsor key initiatives that enhance margin, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Lead transformation projects that elevate financial capabilities and operational agility.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and systems.

Planning & Analytics

  • Own the Annual Operating Plan and quarterly forecasts.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior leadership through robust performance reviews.
  • Support commercial and operational decision-making with forward-looking analytics.

Capital Stewardship & Cost Management

  • Ensure disciplined capital allocation and ROI analysis for growth initiatives.
  • Promote excellence in working capital, inventory, and procurement practices.
  • Identify and lead cost optimization initiatives that balance efficiency with strategic investment.

Reporting & Controls

  • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Provide leadership with financial insights that support both tactical and strategic decisions.

Essential Criteria

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, ideally within energy, logistics, or industrial sectors.
  • Proven success in M&A, business development, and post-merger integration.
  • Strong operational finance background with experience in scalable systems and process design.
  • Experience in downstream marketing preferred.

  • Commercially savvy with a deep understanding of financial levers, business drivers and economic value creation.
