Facilities Technician

Staffmark is seeking a reliable Facilities Technician to join our team supporting the Dayton, OH location. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and upkeeping the facility to ensure smooth daily operations.

Pay: $20/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (occasional early starts at 6:00 AM)

Responsibilities:

• Replace and empty chip bins in Custom Machining & Mass Production areas; load full containers onto trucks at scheduled times
• Clean and maintain filters and fans throughout the facility
• Operate floor scrubber according to cleaning schedule
• Manage and track proper disposal of used coolant and oil containers
• Empty trash and recycling bins daily; bale and secure cardboard and scrap metal for pickup
• Clean windows and other assigned areas following cleaning schedule
• Assist with exterior maintenance including yard work, building upkeep, and snow removal
• Set up tables, chairs, lighting, and other equipment for events
• Perform occasional cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, and entrances
• Participate in department 5S initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior facilities experience preferred
• Proficient with hand and power tools
• Strong work ethic, dependable with consistent attendance
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow safety protocols
• Able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Forklift and aerial lift operation experience required
• Experience with sit-down forklifts and janitorial work is a plus
