Job Description:

Pattern Systems Operations

PURPOSE:

This position is responsible converting written and illustrated information to usable pattern and markers. The development of efficient, high-quality patterns that meet the design criteria and aid sewing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Process orders by making patterns and markers for the manufacturing floor.

Determine the most efficient work flow for the cutting process by using the CAD system, sewing schedule and roll goods availability.

Develop R&D patterns as needed.

Communicate clearly with others the function of a pattern.

Maintain a working relationship with the manufacturing floor in order to effectively meet the manufacturing needs.

Provide constructive and practical information to bridge the gap between engineering and manufacturing.

Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvements.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Consistently meet the daily schedule for manufacturing and completing R&D patterns in a reasonable manner based on the current schedule.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
