About the role

Reworld is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to support our Thermomechanical Treatment Facility in Westbury, New York, as well as our three additional Long Island facilities and two transfer stations in the New York City area. This role will be key to our transformational journey, guiding HR practices and supporting the growth of our workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Advise facility managers on employee relations matters to ensure consistent and fair application of company policies and procedures.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, collaborating with managers to assess workforce needs and implement cost-effective hiring strategies.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to build relationships with local agencies, universities, and vocational schools, enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment.
  • Provide comprehensive HR support across compensation, compliance, talent development, succession planning, performance management, and retention.
  • Implement corporate HR programs and effectively communicate company policies and initiatives.
  • Promote a positive employee relations climate by balancing organizational goals with employee needs.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and maintain a safe, compliant, and supportive work environment.
  • Monitor and analyze HR key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Operate with a lean mindset to identify opportunities and drive continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Five (+) years of HR experience, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and progressive HR practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
  • Experience supporting a unionized workforce, with the ability to interpret collective bargaining agreements and ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements.

Preferred:

  • PHR or SPHR certification
  • Experience with Workday HRIS

The pay range for the primary location of this position is approximately $106,000 - $132,885 per year.

The pay offered is based on factors like relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, location, performance, internal equity, union contract (if applicable), work schedule, travel and business needs.
