SUMMARY



Responsible for the day-to-day administration, processing and maintenance of employee benefit programs. Provides employee guidance and support to resolve benefit related inquires. Supports the day to day operations of benefit and leave program. Manages the processing, entering, and recording employee inquiries for benefit and leave data tracking. Responds to participant questions and processes invoices for benefit vendors.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Accurately communicates benefits to employees, answers questions, and assists employees in resolving benefit matters with carriers;

Answers and responds to inquiries via the HR Navigator platform, email, phone calls etc.

Provides accurate and timely audits, reconciliations, and submissions of premium billing for benefit carriers as needed;

Conducts quarterly and annual benefit related audits with a strong emphasis of Excel use for analyzing data;

Coordinates benefit billing including Direct Bill LOA and COBRA

Assists with annual ACA audits;

Assists with annual open enrollment;

Assists with administering, tracking, and auditing of leaves of absence data and records. Assist with HR
systems for managing employee leave records, paid leave benefits and PTO requests to payroll. Stay up-to-date on company policy's, applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws including HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA and FMLA;

Assists with annual compliance duties and calendaring of city and state ordinance updates etc.

Assists with the processing of life event changes events with benefit TPA and or carriers;

Works on special benefits projects as required; and

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS



Associate's Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience, required

Two (2) or more years of related corporate benefits work experience, required


Leave/FMLA experience, preferred



CBP Certification, preferred


SKILLS



Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent presentation and counseling skills

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork

Good analytical, problem solving, and time management skills

Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office products
