Title: Engineer Technician - 6.8 Quality
Location: Independence, MO

Salary: $61,200 - $73,000
Schedule: 980 schedule

Focus: The Engineer Technician - Quality is responsible for performing a variety of inspections and audits associated with all quality processes in multiple departments.

Quality Engineer Technician Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the Quality team by performing inspection of product visually and measurement.
  • Perform range maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning duties.
  • Ensure daily reports are accurate and legible; Accurately enter data into spreadsheets or Infinity QS software
  • Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, and scales to measure specified variables for each of the assigned manufacturing processes; Perform detail visual inspections of product
  • Support manufacturing operations in the Quality Verification functions

Quality Engineer Technician Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum three years of quality related experience in an industrial or manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and understand military specifications concerning the testing of small-caliber ammunition.
  • Proficient with inspection and testing tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must have a valid US Driver's License with the ability to obtain a Government Explosives driver's license.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
