SUMMARY: The Leave of Absence Administrator is responsible for managing and administering employee leave programs across the organization. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies, while providing compassionate and efficient support to employees navigating leave situations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Administer all types of employee leaves including FMLA, ADA, parental, military, personal, and other statutory or company-sponsored leaves. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave inquiries, eligibility, documentation, and status updates. Ensure timely and accurate processing of leave requests, approvals, and extensions in accordance with applicable laws and company policies. Maintain detailed and confidential records in HRIS and leave management systems. Collaborate with HR, payroll, benefits, and legal teams to ensure seamless coordination of leave-related matters. Monitor leave balances, return-to-work dates, and ensure proper communication throughout the leave lifecycle. Provide guidance and education to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures. Stay current on changes in leave of absence legislation and recommend updates to internal policies as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or a combination of equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in leave administration, HR operations, or employee relations. Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and other relevant employment laws. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Required Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge:
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Mobility to use standard office equipment and stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an office or remote setting. Work is subject to travel.
