POSITION SPECIFICS

Investigators at Penn State Beaver and Penn State New Kensington are seeking applicants for part-time job of Research Assistant. The successful candidate will support research on domestic violence and substance use disorders.

Job Duties
  • Conducting comprehensive literature reviews based on specified analytical criteria.
  • Summarizing, synthesizing, and identifying patterns across relevant studies.
  • Assisting in the preparation and development of scholarly manuscripts. Performing additional research-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills without micromanagement, the ability to work independently, and the ability to act ethically with research subjects and data.
  • Fluent English language writing, speaking, and comprehension.
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a positive and productive way.
  • Must (a) pass and maintain CITI training status.
  • (Preferred) Undergraduate degree in health sciences, public health, or related field.

Schedule: 5 to 10 hours per week

Compensation: The starting rate for this job is $15.00 per hour.
