Job Description: Amherst College invites applications for the Second Class Fireperson position. The Second Class Fireperson is a part-time, per diem, casual position with no benefits. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is: $ 34.00-36.00 per hour The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations. Support Heat Plant efforts to oversee, operate, and maintain the high-pressure steam plant and cogeneration plant in a safe and efficient manner. Requires attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and function efficiently under extreme conditions.
