Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of ITSM QA & Quality Control Analyst. Primary Function: Safeguard the organization's IT systems and member data. Design and enforce robust policies for user access, ensuring that employees only have the necessary permissions to perform their job duties. Perform regular audits to verify compliance and investigate any unauthorized access, proactively mitigating security risks. Through this dual focus on process quality and control execution, they maintain a secure and compliant IT environment crucial for member trust and operational integrity.


Responsibilities

  • Create, document, and update policies for user access, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and privileged access management (PAM), to ensure they align with the principle of least privilege.
  • Perform regular and periodic audits of user accounts and their associated permissions to identify and correct any discrepancies or unauthorized access.
  • Oversee the entire user lifecycle, from onboarding new employees with appropriate access to revoking permissions for those who have left or changed roles.
  • Ensure all access management processes and records comply with relevant financial regulations and data privacy laws.
  • Investigate access-related incidents and security breaches to determine their root cause and implement preventative measures.
  • Provide expert support for access-related issues, helping end-users and other IT teams with complex access problems.
  • Proactively identify potential security risks related to access management, such as a lack of segregation of duties, and propose solutions.
  • Design and test automated workflows for access requests and approvals to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Produce reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to access management, such as the number of access requests, audit findings, and incident response times.
  • Work closely with IT security, human resources, and business units to ensure that access management practices meet the operational needs of the credit union while maintaining a strong security posture.
  • Develops control processes and scorecards to monitor data and reporting issues to produce QA test result reports, to drive and coordinate issue resolution with responsible parties.
  • Ensure solutions within the environment follow established guidelines, policies, and technical frameworks.
  • Acts as a liaison and collaborates with business clients, technology personnel, and supports providers to track and implement business requirements, drives efficient and effective discussions regarding QA best practices and implement strategies throughout the life cycle of projects or process improvements.
  • Keeps current with technology trends, solutions, and vendors.
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
  • Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field required
  • Minimum 3 years of Experience in Information Technology or Cybersecurity roles required
  • Minimum 2 years Hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) required
  • Minimum 2 years Experience with enterprise-level identity management platforms such as: Active Directory, Azure AD, SailPoint, or similar identity governance and administration (IGA) tools required
  • Minimum 2 years Work history in Credit Union or Financial Institution preferred
  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy RPA bots for process automation preferred
