RN Clinic Lead Dermatology

Purpose of Job:

This position is responsible for demonstrating leadership throughout the clinical support team and providing safe, effective and efficient nursing care.

Job Functions:

1. Screens patient phone calls for urgency of need and prioritizes stat requests.
2. Advises patient of treatment when appropriate according to clinic policy.
3. Maintains educational material for patients and staff.
4. Provides patient care when necessary to assist clinical personnel.
5. Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day.
6. Develops, maintains and updates standing orders with providers; follows refill request guidelines.
7. Demonstrates leadership throughout the clinical support team.
8. Identifies, develops, implements, updates and maintains clinic efficiencies, best practices and clinical policies and procedures.
9. Serves as the primary clinic contact for operations manager, providers and clinic support staff and effectively communicates and coordinates with various departments throughout the organization and in the community.
10. Serves as the primary EMR user and provides end user education.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

• Graduate from a School of Nursing
• 1 year of experience in a clinical setting

License/Certifications

• Current RN licensure
• Current CPR certification
