Reimagine What's Possible

In this role, you will minimize total cost by maximizing work force capabilities through prioritizing, planning, and scoping of maintenance work orders.You will co-lead backlog review and prioritization activities along with your designated area maintenance supervisor. You will scope work orders to estimate cost, labor, materials, equipment, and special tool requirements to complete the job in a safe and cost-effective manner. The facilities where this work is performed are in Baytown, Houston and Conroe, TX.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • A good working knowledge of maintenance work processes and maintenance planning tools.

  • A working knowledge of SAP.

  • A working knowledge of KPI's, key performance indicators.

  • Experience with chemical and petrochemical equipment and specifications.

  • Excellent organizational and people skills.

  • A technical aptitude with excellent computer and problem-solving skills.

  • Professional oral and written communication skills.

  • A passion for driving excellence.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the review of work backlog with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure that all work is appropriately prioritized, planned, scheduled, and executed.

  • Work closely with the maintenance supervisor to develop daily and weekly maintenance schedules.

  • Provide detailed job plans as required on general maintenance activities.

  • Provide planning support during turnarounds.

  • Create and receive requisitions for parts and external maintenance services as required.

  • Support the preparation of bid documents as necessary.

  • Participate in all general maintenance leadership activities including 24-hour on-call support on a rotating basis.

  • Track ongoing maintenance, capital projects and equipment repairs and provide jobsite coordination as required.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • A technical school or college degree is preferred but is not required.

  • Three (3) plus years' experience in the petrochemical and manufacturing industry is required.

  • Military service will be considered in lieu of manufacturing experience.

  • Prior planning and estimating experience are required.

  • Self-motivated with a solid work history and ability to work in a team-oriented environment is required.

  • The expected travel is 15%.

  • Flexibility to be on-call on a rotating basis.

  • A valid driver's license is required.

  • Availability to work a 1st shift starting at 7:00am.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to work in an industrial environment which includes climbing ladders and steps in elevated work, get on scaffolding, get on manlift type equipment and wear PPE such as full body harness.

  • Wear self-contained and air purifying respiratory protection.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and ability to lift 50 lbs.
