Our client is seeing a Director of Business Analysis for their data and analytics effort. This is a leadership role with transformational opportunity.
As the strategic champion for data analytics across the company, you will: Lead cross-functional collaboration with executives and department heads to embed data into key business decisions. Shape the future of customer segmentation, sales targeting, and operational insights by designing impactful tools and models. Coach, mentor, and inspire a team of talented analysts to build cutting-edge capabilities and grow their careers. Oversee intake, prioritization, and delivery of analytics initiatives that align with our strategic goals. Champion self-serve analytics by building a data-literate culture and deploying intuitive visualizations and tools. Collaborate with IT and Data Governance to standardize our analytics tools, maintain data quality, and ensure compliance. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the analytics community. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Analytics, or equivalent experience. 7+ years in analytics-related roles with 3+ years of direct leadership experience. Proven track record leading enterprise analytics or data transformation initiatives. Advanced skills in analytics platforms, statistical methods, and delivering data-driven presentations. Expertise with tools such as SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure). Technical skill sets: - Basic understanding of Data architecture- how data is structured and governed, high level view of how data pipelines and automation works. Familiar with data warehouse concepts like star schema, fact/dimension tables, dbt) can be an intelligent partner with IT - Strong understanding of Statistical methods and applications for decision making (what types of analysis are needed) strong understanding of analytical methods and statistics- (regression, clustering, forecasting, significance testing) know the limits and assumptions under each model type, help guide the right method for the business question. Doesn't need to know how to code, but know what questions to ask and be able to interpret outputs/results. Ability to coach storytelling with visualization tools like pbi - Strategic Thinking- ability to align analytics with business strategy - Data Story Telling- communication of data, data processes, insights, to non-technical people at various levels of detail (think executive to role specific). - Prioritization/ROI focus- strong judgment on what projects have the largest impact back to the business strategies - Change leadership- driving adoption to new tools, dashboards, methodologies. This is always going to be a fast-moving technology field to keep up with especially at the pace AI is evolving. Keeping up with current trends, without necessarily always needing the new shiny object is helpful. A good balance of where the business investments and strategies are with what's out there to help support those strategies within scope - Strong people leadership skills that are hands on, coaching & mentoring, balancing day to day support with strategic initiatives when allocating resources. (no middle manager makes this role's need for more tactical involvement essential.) Experience in more flat mid-size organizations would be helpful to understand as our size and leanness requires us to wear different hats at times. - Experience in creating structure & processes innovation, ideas, best practices through experience are all helpful. (Implement best practices and be a strong voice through team to avoid multiple sources of truth, promote credible verified data, and follows security/governance practices. - Cross Departmental influence- ability to influence others through business strategies backed by data. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
