Overview
Provides continuity of care and information of cosmetic surgery patients by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work in cooperation with Mercy Plastic Surgeons and Physician Assistants, Mercy Marketing, and Mercy Leadership to continuously promote the plastic surgery products throughout the Wisconsin market.
- Track cosmetic consultations and follow-up on those not scheduling surgery. Develop and maintain an adequate means to track patient profiles of those who call for general information about cosmetic surgery, attend a seminar, schedule a consult, and/or have completed the procedure. Track results.
- Follow up with patients and potential patients as necessary.
- Maintain continuous communication with cosmetic patients throughout the surgical process.
- Educate patients about the costs for any cosmetic and/or plastic surgeries, and the financial options available.
- Coordinate prior authorizations with insurance companies for cosmetic procedures when applicable. Performs per-admission functions to include insurance verification and pre-certification activities.
- Obtain appropriate signatures and required forms.
- Works closely with physician and office staff to obtain clinical information and CPT codes to obtain authorization for treatment.
- Discusses financial arrangements and obtain payment in full, for self pay patients, prior to surgery.
- Works closely with physician and office staff to schedule surgeries.
- Continuously assess the cosmetic surgery market and pricing techniques.
Education and Experience
High School Graduate, Associate Degree preferred and/or Marketing Degree and/or Two to four years broad-based plastics surgery experience and/or two to four years patient financial counseling experience and/or Two to four years retail and/or management experience.
Special Physical Demands
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment. This position requires the employee to frequently sit, handle, finger, feel, reach, talk, and hear. This position requires the employee to occasionally stand, walk, stop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance. This job requires the employee to exert up to 25 lbs of force occasionally. The position frequently requires close vision and the ability to adjust focus as well as occasional distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
