Moog's Corporate Groupis looking for a Technology Business Office Manager to join our team!

As the Manager of the Technology Business Management Office (BMO), you will be responsible for overseeing technology budgeting and forecasting, managing vendor relationships and contracts, and driving cost optimization initiatives within the technology department. You will ensure that technology expenditures align with business priorities. You will also play a pivotal role in managing vendor contracts, negotiations, and performance to ensure the technology team delivers maximum value while adhering to budget and compliance standards. We are looking for the right candidate who has a blend of financial acumen, vendor management expertise, and cost optimization strategies to drive both operational efficiency and business value.

To qualify for the Technology Business Office Manager, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or other relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CPM) are a plus.

  • At least 10 years of experience in technology financial management, budgeting, vendor management, or procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience with technology cost optimization strategies, financial analysis, and ROI measurement.

  • Proven experience in managing technology contracts, vendor negotiations, and relationship management.

  • Strong background in managing technology budgets, financial forecasting, and cost reporting.

  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, OneStream, MS Project).

  • Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.

  • Experience in vendor and contract management, including negotiation and performance management.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence senior management.

  • Ability to drive cost optimization and efficiency initiatives without compromising quality or service delivery.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions to financial and operational challenges.

  • Knowledge of procurement processes, compliance, and risk management.

  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, cloud services, and software licensing models.

  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite; we are unable to provide relocation assistance for this opportunity.

As the Technology Business Office Manager, you will...

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and management of the IT department's annual budget, ensuring alignment with the organization's financial goals and priorities.

  • Manage the Vendor Management Lead, providing oversight and management for all related vendor management activities.

  • Work with technology leadership and business units to identify financial needs and opportunities for cost management across the technology landscape.

  • Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to ensure that all technology contracts are properly structured, compliant, and aligned with business requirements.

  • Lead cost optimization strategies for the technology department, identifying opportunities to reduce waste, streamline operations, and drive financial efficiencies.

  • Work closely with business and technology teams to assess the total cost of ownership (TCO) for technology services, including hardware, software, and cloud services, and identify opportunities for cost savings.

  • Implement and track cost-saving initiatives and provide regular updates on savings achieved, as well as return on investment (ROI) for specific projects or programs.

  • Continuously evaluate industry trends and best practices in cost management and procurement, ensuring the organization stays competitive in its technology spending.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reporting processes, including tracking and reporting of budget performance, forecasts, and savings initiatives.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to business leadership on opportunities to better allocate resources or shift priorities to achieve better financial outcomes.

  • Work closely with technology leadership, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders to ensure that IT financial strategies align with overall business objectives and goals.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between technology and other business departments to understand financial requirements, support budgeting processes, and promote cost-conscious decision-making.

  • Engage with senior business leaders to provide strategic financial guidance on large-scale technology investments, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to high-priority projects.

  • Drive the continuous improvement of financial management practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

  • Leverage automation, analytics, and new tools to streamline financial operations and improve decision-making processes.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $120,000.00-$160,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
