Title: Process Controls Engineering Intern (June - August 2026)
Location: McIntosh, Alabama
Additional location may include Plaquemine, Louisiana

Salary: $30.00 / hour
Housing Stipend Available

Focus: The Process Controls Engineering Intern supports maintenance and production with the development, implementation, and maintenance of process control systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Process Controls Engineering Intern Essential Job Functions:

* Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need

* Develop knowledge of programming, instrumentation, and control systems by collaborating with engineers and reviewing vendor documentation

* Develop DCS graphics, validate control code, and test plans for DCS equipment, including servers and workstation setup

* Support training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts through data analysis and maintenance of standards and procedures

Process Controls Engineering Intern Minimum Requirements:

* Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Engineering degree program; Chemical, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering majors preferred. Preference given to students located within 50 miles of the assigned Olin location.

* Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.

* Must have completed sophomore year prior to first rotation with Olin

* Ability to work full time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) June - August 2026. Not eligible for virtual work.

* Preference will be given to candidates with availability and desire to work a minimum of three (3) terms with no more than one of those terms occurring over the summer

* Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa

* Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)

* A Valid US Driver's license is required
