The Lead Employment Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized plans to support individuals with disabilities in securing and maintaining community-based employment. This full-time position serves the East Central Indiana area.

Responsibilities:

  • Match employer expectations and needs to the abilities and strengths of underemployed or unemployed individuals with disabilities.
  • Assist client in interview preparation and transportation.
  • Communicate and meet with referring entities in regard to planning, client evaluation, and job placement efforts.
  • Marketing and developing new areas.
  • Maintain existing relationships with businesses, referring agencies, and staff: Employment Consultants, Job Coaches, SEFA Coordinators, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, and Business Partners.
  • Attendance for work per requirements of program, Benchmark, and client specific needs.
  • Recruit, mentor, train, and review staff.
  • Participate in transition councils.
  • Coordinate department newsletter.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • College degree and/or some experience preferred
  • Three (3) years experience in business world in management or supervisory role.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of continuous, recent experience in a single position or with one employer.
