The Role - AWS Capture Manager - SLED

Presidio AWS Capture Manager plays a critical role in building, operationalizing, and scaling the capture management function at Presidio. This role supports strategic business development by establishing repeatable processes that identify, qualify, and pursue AWS-aligned opportunities in the public sector. Working closely with Presidio Sales and AWS Partner Sales Managers, the Capture Manager helps design and implement structured methodologies that improve collaboration, transparency, and execution across the full capture lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

Strategic Planning & Capture Execution

• Support end-to-end capture efforts-from opportunity identification through proposal submission-by following and refining standardized workflows.
• Develop tailored capture strategies aligned with market trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements in the SLED vertical.
• Coordinate closely with sales teams to ensure strategic alignment between capture efforts and broader business goals.
• Leverage market intelligence and competitive research to support qualification and pursuit decisions.

Process Development & Enablement

• Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of capture frameworks, SOPs, and proposal templates.
• Maintain a library of reusable content, tools, and process guides to ensure consistency and reduce turnaround times.
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and capture records to improve organizational visibility and historical tracking.

AWS Partnership & Stakeholder Coordination

• Serve as a point of contact with AWS stakeholders for public sector pursuits, helping align Presidio's strategies with AWS priorities.
• Gather and disseminate AWS updates, programs, and solution guidance that impact capture planning or execution.
• Facilitate information sharing across teams to ensure AWS-aligned offerings are appropriately positioned in customer proposals.

Proposal Development & Content Support

• Manage and coordinate the development of proposal content, ensuring messaging aligns with win themes and resonates with SLED customers.
• Work with internal contributors to ensure timely completion of proposal components and compliance with requirements.
• Assist in refining proposals to clearly articulate value propositions and differentiators based on AWS technologies.

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Tracking

• Monitor funding initiatives, policy changes, and regulatory developments in the SLED market that impact capture strategy.
• Conduct competitive analysis and customer research to inform capture plans and pursuit prioritization.
• Track and evaluate opportunities in collaboration with Presidio Sales teams, supporting informed go/no-go decisions.

Reporting & Capture Metrics

• Maintain dashboards and reports that track key capture metrics, such as pipeline health, win rates, and pursuit progress.
• Support internal reporting processes by providing updates on capture activities, milestones, and proposal submissions.
• Assist with pipeline reviews and forecasting to help identify gaps and opportunities.

Risk Identification & Compliance Support

• Identify potential risks in capture efforts early and support efforts to resolve issues related to timelines, scope, or eligibility.
• Ensure all proposals follow established internal review processes and meet compliance standards.
• Work with legal, finance, and contracts teams to support compliance reviews and help resolve issues related to pricing, terms, or contract requirements.

Contracts Coordination & Compliance Processes

• Collaborate with the contracts team to review solicitation documents and support development of compliant responses.
• Assist with proposal documentation, including terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with internal standards and AWS requirements.
• Support the contracting process by tracking status, aligning with stakeholders, and ensuring documentation is accurate and audit-ready.

Required Skills and Professional Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in capture management, proposal coordination, or public sector business development, preferably within the SLED market.
• Solid understanding of public sector procurement processes and RFP/RFI responses; familiarity with cooperative contracts is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS services and partner ecosystem
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling, customer-focused proposal content.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with sales, contracts, legal, and technical teams to support complex pursuits.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with proficiency in tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal/project tracking systems.

Preferred Skills and Professional Experience

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification
