We need someone who loves to perform audits, research laws and regulations, analyze data, prepare reports, monitor potential risks, and work collaboratively with management to correct and mitigate identified concerns. In the role of Compliance and Privacy Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the contract department and collaborating with the Information Compliance and Security department.

About The Position
Audits and Assessments:
- Complete and document performance of Compliance and Privacy related audits and risk assessments. Areas of focus may include, but are not limited to ADA, OSHA, EEOC Compliance, PHI/PII, unauthorized disclosures, mitigation of disclosures, right to access information, employee sanctions and trends/patterns analysis.
- Identify compliance and Privacy related risk areas and conduct audits of such risk areas, and make recommendations based upon audit findings
- Oversee vendor management program and audit subcontractor/vendor access to PHI and report to the VP of Contracts and Compliance.
Policies and Procedures
- Independently develop policies and procedures, review policies, and perform a quality assessment of policies in preparation for approvals. Review policies to ensure they are accurate, clear, concise, grammatically correct, and not in conflict with other polices. Assist policy authors with policy related questions.
- Collaboratively manage the policy record system. This includes storing and recording current policies, maintaining a policy log and archiving retired policies.
- Facilitate Policy Subcommittee meetings and work with policy owners on making edits and revisions to policies.
Privacy Violations, Investigations and Mitigation
- Receive and timely investigate/respond to complaints or reports requiring Privacy investigation.
- Collaborate with Talent Operations, management, and operations regarding compliance complaints, investigations, and resolutions.
- Coordinate with the VP of Contracts and Compliance to determine if communication with a customer about a Privacy related incident is required. If so, work with VP of Compliance and Contracts to communicate required information to the customer.
- Ensures all Privacy-related complaints and dispositions are appropriately documented.
Business Associate Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Collaborate with Contracting Team to draft and log Business Associate Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- Conduct annual Business Associate Agreement Attestations for critical vendors.
- Collaborate with Contracting Team to draft and log Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- Provide departmental data analytics report to the VP of Contracts and Compliance.
Compliance Ticketing System:
- Monitor Compliance ticketing system including opening and closing tickets, assigning responsible people to respond to inquiries, resolve tickets, tracking and managing incidents within the application.
Records Management and Requests for Access to PHI:
- Oversee Records Management program including records administrators to assist with the retention and maintenance of records across the organization.
- Assist in response to external requests for records and audits.
- Works in conjunction with the VP of Contracts and Compliance to oversee records data management duties on the right to access requirements, subpoena, and/or court orders parameters prior to the release of information, accounting of release of information and right to amend or restrict PHI requests.
- Collaborate as necessary regarding retention and release of information.
Corporate Compliance Committee:
- Responsible for preparation of materials for the Corporate Compliance Committee.
- Plan annual Corporate Compliance & Ethics Week.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or healthcare administration, regulatory compliance, or related area, from an accredited college or university or advanced degree (Preferred)
- 5+ years' experience in healthcare compliance, Privacy, auditing, investigation management, quality, or related experience gained through working in a medical or clinical role.
- Comprehensive understanding of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations. (hands on experience preferred)
- Comprehensive and robust knowledge related to health care fraud and abuse laws including Stark, Anti-kickback and the False Claims Act, HIPAA, HITECH, and 42 CFR Part 2.
- Proficient in drafting and updating corporate policies and procedures.
- Must possess strong ability to review, analyze and summarize existing & potential Business Associate Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements and provide succinct meaningful feedback, questions and recommendations to teams and management.
- Assist associates with various contract and subcontract questions, conduct research and provide timely responses.
- Possesses strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Manage and support special projects as assigned and engage professionally with executive leadership daily and function in a team-oriented environment.
- CHPC/CHC strongly preferred or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
- Experience with data privacy tools and compliance management systems.
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA privacy and security principles.
- Ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory language.

- Intermediate proficiency with Office 365 applications.
