For more information, visit our website at www.kearfott.com Position Description: The QA Engineering Tech I is responsible for performing quality inspections and tests on manufactured parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and standards. This role involves operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise dimensional inspections. The technician documents results, identifies non-conformities, and assists with root cause analysis. Basic knowledge of GD&T and quality systems is essential. Essential Functions: * Performs complicated inspection duties within a gauge lab environment using CMM (Zeiss Calypso) and other automated inspection devices in addition to manual inspection equipment * Supports variety of departments with inspection requests on Zeiss CMM * CMM calibration of gauges and other equipment as needed * Regular sample inspections coming from machine shop * First Piece Inspections coming from machine shop * Final Assembly and Incoming Inspection samples as requested * Supports Gauge inventory library * Assists in calibration and pulling gauges to be used on the shop floor as requested. * Supports manual inspection activities in machine shop environment as requested.
