Summary Description Of Position

Performs a variety of analytical and clerical functions that are necessary to assure the proper day to day operations of the Facilities Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Support Programs.



Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year experience in material control.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Requires the ability to perform physical labor and accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to use hand tools and equipment such as hammers, saw, crowbars and hand trucks.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly.
  • Must be able to operate computer equipment and programs when given the proper training.
  • Must qualify for airport SIDA badge.


Major Responsibility Areas and Duties:

  • Responsible for the efficient operation of the Facilities Maintenance shipping and receiving areas as well as the Facilities stock room.
  • Perform duties as assigned incidental to the receipt, storage, issuance, transfer and shipping of facilities stock.
  • Complete and maintain records, forms and reports (by computer or otherwise) necessary to accomplish assigned duties.
  • Maintain authorized stock levels and issues material as required.
  • Perform general clerical duties, to include setting up files, reproducing paperwork and collecting and entering computerized data.


Additional Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision necessary for the normal day to day operation not determined at time of hire.


Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

  • Ability to perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to withstand intermittent moderate noise levels.
  • Must have correctable near and far vision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and overtime.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work with one or both hands overhead.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to hear at conversational level with hearing aids.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
