Job Summary:

The Associate Account Representative is responsible for performing non-customer contact service, reviewing data entry and administering quality control on customer accounts. The role is responsible for supporting tasks associated with planning, preparation, documentation, and on-boarding of the new programs, as well as the ongoing relationship with the customers. The role also executes strategies to help build stronger relationships with current customers and new ones.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs non-customer contact service, reviews data entry and administers quality control on respective accounts.
  • Works with Account Managers to understand the customer's requirements and are responsible for ensuring customers' requirements are defined and documented.
  • Supports the creation of an implementation project plan to identify key milestones & deliverables regarding criticality, downstream impact if dates are missed and determine alternative/mitigating actions.
  • Supports identifying potential risks within the project and activities across internal teams to ensure the program deliverables are on track and understood.
  • Gathers information that may affect area of responsibility, such as changes in customer ownership, new affiliations, and targets of opportunities for new growth, customer's changing requirements, and continually communicates these strategies to Key Account Leadership.
  • Ensures basic information of each customer is documented so that in event of absence, all routine tasks will be maintained, and business critical activities can continue with no significant disruption to the customer.
  • Researches endorsements and cancellations, without open activity, and other complex or unexpected new policy situations, to determine accuracy.
  • Researches non-downloaded renewals, from outstanding expiration list, and updates management system. Researches renewal premium increases upon request from Account Representatives.
  • Creates closed agency customers moved to service center and advises Account Representatives of upcoming non-renewals and mid-term cancellations.
  • Documents work with appropriate activities in the management system and fully utilize carrier software, agency management system and other software tools. Answers technical questions for Account Representatives and researches issues as requested.

Job Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in Account Management, Business, Sales, Distribution Management, or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.
