Engineering Management and Systems Engineering Job Description
The Engineering Management and Systems Engineering department is seeking a Non-Tenure Track Faculty member (Instructional Assistant Professor) with expertise in either Financial Engineering or Quality Management to support our graduate and undergraduate programs. The successful candidate will teach four courses per semester and contribute to curriculum development, student mentorship, and applied project learning in one of these high-demand areas. Candidates with a background in Financial Engineering should be prepared to teach topics such as investment theory and strategy, equity and fixed income markets, derivatives, valuation techniques, enterprise risk management, and risk modeling using methods such as Monte Carlo simulation, time series forecasting (e.g., ARIMA, GARCH), Value-at-Risk, and stress testing. A strong understanding of the use of data analytics, algorithmic screening, and AI-powered decision-making in portfolio construction is preferred. Familiarity with the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in financial forecasting, anomaly detection, and automated trading systems will be considered a strong asset, aligning with our department's commitment to technology-driven financial education. Alternatively, candidates with expertise in Quality Management should be able to teach core methodologies such as Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma, total quality systems, reliability analysis, design of experiments, quality function deployment, process capability studies, and root cause analysis. The ideal candidate will be proficient in contemporary quality assurance frameworks and continuous improvement strategies applied in engineering and industrial environments. This is a teaching-focused position, but the faculty member will be encouraged to participate in applied research and curriculum development, especially in areas that enhance classroom engagement and integrate technological advancements. The successful candidate will also collaborate with departmental faculty to maintain up-to-date and industry-aligned content and support experiential learning opportunities. Qualifications

Anticipated Hiring Range
Anticipated hiring range for this position is set at $80,000 to $85,000. Application Deadline
