Our client is a well-established food importer and distributor based in Southern California, serving national and international markets since the early 1990s. Known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence, they support major retailers and foodservice providers across the U.S.

They are currently seeking a Director of IT to lead and own all IT operations, with a primary focus on optimizing and supporting their Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) environment. This mid-level leadership role blends strategic oversight with hands-on technical work, particularly around business system customization, integration, and enhancement.

While IT infrastructure is managed by an external provider, the Director will act as the key liaison-overseeing vendor performance and ensuring service delivery meets organizational needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong ERP technical knowledge, effective cross-functional collaboration skills, and a proactive approach to delivering secure, reliable, and scalable IT solutions that support evolving business goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 4-6 years of IT experience, including hands-on business system customization and at least 1-2 years in a manager or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience customizing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP/business applications.
  • Proficient in X++ and integration tools.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, especially with outsourced IT infrastructure providers.
  • Strong understanding of EDI systems and integration concepts.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of IT security and compliance standards.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
