Sales Operations Analyst

Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-Time

The Sales Operations Analyst is a key role that bridges sales teams and other departments, enabling data-driven decision-making and optimizing sales strategies. This role focuses on analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights that improve forecasting, refine processes, and support strategic planning. By driving sales performance measurement, pipeline monitoring, and process improvements, the Analyst helps empower the sales team and contributes directly to overall business success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze sales data from multiple sources (CRM, ERP, reporting tools) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.

  • Develop and deliver advanced sales performance reports and dashboards covering metrics such as revenue trends, pipeline velocity, win/loss ratios, customer acquisition cost, and sales cycle efficiency.

  • Translate stakeholder requirements into clear analytical deliverables, including reports, models, and visuals.

  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to sales processes, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for automation or streamlining.

  • Support sales planning, forecasting, and performance reviews using historical data, market trends, and business intelligence.

  • Assess territory design, quota setting, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and revenue opportunities.

  • Provide insights on lead quality and funnel efficiency to improve conversion rates and collaboration between marketing and sales.

  • Partner cross-functionally with other teams to ensure alignment and drive measurable impact.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, or a related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Analysis, or Data Analytics

  • Hands-on experience with CRM systems and sales performance reporting

  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas) and SQL

  • Strong experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with territory management, pipeline analysis, or sales metrics

  • Exposure to process improvement and sales enablement initiatives

  • Ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making

  • Self-starter with a curiosity-driven mindset


Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
