Zayo is seeking a high-performing Product Manager, Transport/Wavelength with a strong foundation in business, operations, or engineering and a proven ability to drive high performance and deliver results in a cross-functional team. The Product Manager, Transport/Wavelength is a customer advocate, motivated by solving real customer problems and building intuitive, high-impact solutions. You'll lead initiatives from discovery through delivery, define go-to-market strategy, and collaborate across teams to ensure successful execution, adoption, and long-term business value. This is a hands-on, outcomes-driven role at the intersection of product strategy, technical execution, and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for top performers with the right mix of Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Operations experience who are looking to transition into a business leadership role and are ready to own key product features or services with measurable business impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring user needs directly inform roadmap and design.

  • Define product vision and feature-level strategy aligned to business objectives and market opportunities.

  • Lead the go-to-market strategy and launch execution, partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive adoption and retention.

  • Set and maintain pricing strategy including MSRP, discount rules, and approval thresholds in collaboration with Finance and Sales.

  • Define and prioritize epic-level product roadmaps and contribute to network demand and expansion planning.

  • Lead a cross-functional team of Sales, Service Delivery, Engineering, and Network Operations to deliver product value to customers and ensure successful implementation and adoption.Ensure SLAs are measurable, achievable, and continuously improving.

  • Monitor key metrics (e.g., revenue, retention, adoption, NPS) and lead regular business reviews to track performance and guide iteration.

  • Partner with Finance and Product leadership to understand unit economics, pricing levers, and product line profitability.

  • Forecast, monitor, and manage financial performance against product revenue and margin targets.

  • Build and present business cases for roadmap investments, pricing changes, or new product initiatives to cross-functional stakeholders and executives.

  • Monitor post-launch product health, including performance, support tickets, SLA adherence, and cost-to-serve.

  • Act as a product evangelist, representing the product internally across teams and externally to customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or technical graduate degree a plus.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of total experience in a blend of Sales, Engineering, Operations, or Finance with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.

  • Product management experience specific to telecom infrastructure products or specific to Wavelength services.

  • Strong customer empathy, structured problem-solving, and a clear bias toward action.

  • Experience building and presenting business cases to cross-functional leadership, including financial modeling and strategic tradeoffs.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority in a matrixed, fast-moving organization.

  • Fluency in agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha!, and product analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel.)

  • Experience managing enterprise system integrations and stakeholder requirements (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ, ERP, CRM.)

  • Exposure to product financials, pricing strategy, and revenue forecasting a plus.

  • Proven ability to own measurable outcomes across revenue, user engagement, and customer success.

  • Skilled at building alignment across competing priorities and communicating business impact clearly.

  • Exposure to AI/ML use cases, data infrastructure, or developer-facing product work.

Estimated Base Salary Range: $89,800 - $138,200 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
