Job Overview:

Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Practice Enhancement for inpatient services, the Regional Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the medical scribes at assigned client hospitals. This includes but is not limited to site support and client relations; staff management, performance management, onboarding and credentialing; interviewing and staffing; ongoing education and department initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-5 Years of Hospital or Healthcare industry experience
  • Advanced leadership skills as successfully demonstrated by work and/or academic experience
  • Able to travel at a minimum 50% of time
  • Knowledge of EPIC and Cerner EMRs
  • Knowledge of documentation for Emergency and Hospitalist Medicine
  • Strong technical skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred:

  • Excellent management, organization, facilitation, and planning skills
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, and strong presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client service orientation
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time
  • Monday through Friday, occasional weekend availability may be required
  • 9:00am-5:00pm, occasional off hours may be required

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee daily Medical Scribe operations at assigned client hospitals
  • Develop strong business relationships with internal clients including Site Medical Directors and APP leadership
  • Understand the Medical Scribe workflow and processes at each site and provide suggestions to Director and Site Medical Director to optimize productivity, functionality, and effectiveness of the Medical Scribe role
  • Oversee implementations of Medical Scribes at new contract start-ups and provide support for EMR implementations
  • Supervise Medical Scribe staff in assigned Region
  • Review and approve monthly schedules to ensure optimal coverage and fair distribution of shifts
  • Review and provide final approval of time accounting records prior to biweekly submission to payroll
  • Monitor attendance and PTO accruals of staff, and approve time off requests
  • Conduct performance management reviews and annual performance appraisals
  • Monitor trainee progress through successful completion of in-office and on-site training, and throughout the 90-day introductory period
  • Interview for open positions in the region and make hiring decisions consistent with staffing needs at the sire
  • Manage pre-hire, hire, and onboarding process for all staff in the region in accordance with company and client hospital standards
  • Manage annual or ongoing requirements (e.g. compliance training, PPD's, flu,etc.) for all staff in the region in accordance with company and client hospital standards
  • Assist with creation of ongoing education content and drive execution of completion of the modules for all staff in the region
  • Perform Medical Scribe Supervisor duties when necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director
