We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join the clinical team of one of the nation's most respected academic medical institutions. This role offers the chance to contribute to a mission-driven healthcare environment known for excellence in patient care, research, and education. Work Model: 6 Month Contract (Opportunity for permanent conversion offering exceptional long-term benefits) Pay Rate: $25-27/HR (Based on experience) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7.5-hour shifts within the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation & Benefits: Weekly pay cycle; medical, dental, and vision benefits offered. Key Responsibilities: * Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures. * Accurately record patient histories, vital signs, and other clinical data. * Maintain clean and well-stocked examination rooms and medical instruments. * Administer medications and injections under provider direction. * Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely and efficient care delivery. * Document patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR) system. * Provide patient education and support with empathy and professionalism. * Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical setting. Qualifications: * Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required-or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months of hire. * Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting. * Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology. * Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred. * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
