Job Title: Operating Engineer

What this job involves: This position requires strong technical, mechanical and administrative skills to operate and maintain client properties in Cheyenne, WY. The Operating Engineer will provide high levels of customer service including on-site and on-call plant operational support, with a thorough understanding of building operations, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance. The role involves working as a team member supporting the Chief Engineer while organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks and delivering excellent customer service to clients, contractors and co-employees.

Your day-to-day tasks will include: * Operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing building equipment and systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls * Supporting the property maintenance team, working assigned customer service requests, and assisting with construction projects and special event setups * Assisting Chief Engineer with JLL compliance program completion and associated documentation to achieve compliance at assigned account locations * Performing predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines and service requests as directed * Maintaining and completing documentation for fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, building alarm contacts, and other fire life safety systems * Maintaining and repairing electrical components including single phase breakers, switches, receptacles, junction boxes, conduit, lights, and ballasts * Maintaining and repairing plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, and piping * Preparing, priming and painting building interior and exterior surfaces while performing general handyman tasks to maintain buildings * Maintaining good tenant relations through prompt and courteous response to tenant requests within JLL guidelines

Desired experience and technical skills: * 5-7 years of construction or building engineering related experience * Experience with various types of hand tools and use of diagnostic equipment * Ability to diagnose problems, make sound decisions, prioritize, schedule and complete multiple tasks * Proven safety record and compliance to safe work practices * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and equipment manuals * Proficient computer skills including e-mail, Word and Excel * CFC Universal Refrigerant Certification

Requirements: * High school diploma or GED equivalent * Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools and lift and carry up to 70 pounds * Able to work in close spaces such as closets, crawl spaces and able to work on roofs of buildings * Ability to work occasional overtime and holidays as required * Must be located in or willing to relocate to Cheyenne, WY

Preferred: * Trade or Maintenance License * Exposure to a CMMS system, such as Corrigo
