Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $59,100.00 to $73,900.00 .

Position Details

The Senior Audio Visual Operations Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable delivery of audio visual solutions and services for our Lake Forest and Mart locations. This role provides event production and support, key input on engineering design and planning, and critical end-user feedback on business needs. As such, communication skills are as essential as technical acumen.

You Will

  • Leads frontline AV support for visitors, team members, and Grainger leadership in our Lake Forest and Mart locations for a wide variety of events, meetings, and broadcasts
  • Function as a trusted advisor on best practices, available services, and recommended solutions to meet various business needs
  • Lead continual improvement efforts for Audio Visual Operations and provide weekly reports and analysis
  • Maintain and operate technology including digital signage, videoconference systems, display and projectors, amplifiers and DSPs, control systems
  • Work with Audio Visual Engineering, vendors, and other departments to document, diagnose, and resolve technical issues
  • Assist in Audio Visual project work and oversee upgrades and changes to AV technology in Lake Forest and the Mart
  • Responsible for audio visual, technical, and administrative support for response-related AV functions.
  • Provide meeting support to the Incident Manager (IM), Deputy Incident Manager(s) (DIM), Chief of Staff (CofS), and other Operations Chief response activities, as needed.
  • Timely review of e-mails requesting support related to day-to-day, and EOC operations.
  • Monitor the events scheduled on the daily staff rhythm and EOC operations calendar.
  • Setup and prep conference rooms (actual/virtual) ahead of meetings.
  • Moderate audio bridge lines in support of Conference Calls.
  • Coordinate scheduling and support Envision video conferencing, audio, and web conferencing applications (Web Ex, ZOOM and MS Teams).
  • Conduct monthly AV systems checks and document issues with recommended solutions.
  • Performs basic copier/printer maintenance.
  • Work encompasses shift assignments to support 24/7/365 operations.

You Have

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience Required
  • Associate's Degree Preferred
  • 3+ years Work experience). Required
  • 1+ years Proven experience in vendor coordination and management Required
  • 1+ years Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support team members at all levels of Grainger Required
  • 1+ years Experience in video production, including producing, recording, and editing video for projects and events Required
