Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is seeking qualified candidates for the CASA Program Facility Assistant-Rover position. The CASA Rover will primarily concentrate on delivering after-school and camp childcare services for the County at the specified program/location, under the overall guidance of the appointed supervisor. The duties associated with this role encompass overseeing indoor and outdoor sports programs, assisting with office and warehouse tasks, organizing field trips and summer activities, administering CPR/First Aid and medications, managing supply deliveries, and transporting program participants.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s): * PRCS, 742 Miller Dr SE, Leesburg, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Oversees the behavior, communication, and participation of children in program activities. * Assures the health and safety of children within the program. * Establishes contact with parents, staff, and site personnel to facilitate effective communication. * Oversees the use of the facility and provides support to customers. * Maintains vehicle in safe and operational condition. * Other essential job duties relevant to the role and department may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent; six (6) months of program experience with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Complete education and experience requirements to meet Virginia license requirements for the position.
Preferred Qualifications: * To meet state licensing standards, knowledge of school-aged childcare and programming is essential. * The ability to instruct youth using methods, practices, and techniques. * Proficiency in the practices related to organizing and running recreational programs. * Ability to instruct diverse youth populations in activities. * Ability to operate computers, Department software, and other automated devices.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo pre-employment fingerprinting, DMV, and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to ensure ongoing qualification. Certifications in First Aid (Infant through Adult) and CPR before or immediately after hire. Obtain a negative TB test or screening within 30 days of hire and each year thereafter. DHO (Daily Health Observation) training within 30 days of hire; MAT training within 90 days of hire; and complete County e-learning and Onboarding training requirements. An annual completion of a sworn disclosure statement or affirmation is required, which must disclose any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.
