JOB DESCRIPTION



JOB TITLE: Operations Administrator



SUMMARY / OVERVIEW:



Provide administrative assistance and support for Manufacturing Operations. This assistance includes facilitating daily office procedures, SAP updates and reconciliations, answering phones, overseeing office supply inventories. Compiling data to complete required reports. Draft, edit, and complete various types of correspondence, both internal and external. Maintain files. Coordinate respective activities with other supervisors and employees. Responsible for other projects and assignments, as required.



Overall, present a consistently helpful and positive demeanor while performing these responsibilities.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for providing daily administrative support for Plant Operations.
  • Work with production objectives, reporting requirements, and other expectations and support plant as needs arise.
  • Maintain effective administrative systems and procedures, including correspondence, filing systems, monitoring inventory levels, e-mail and voice communications, workflow efficiencies, etc.
  • Work with material transactions within SAP
  • Maintain system updates as required for accurate production documentation and reporting.
  • Gather, compile, and organize information and data to accurately complete required reports for Operations.
  • Document wide range of information mostly related to production tracking and analysis.
  • Ad Hoc reports at Operation's request.
  • Handle data entry pertaining to production, shipping receipts, material transactions within the SAP system, and other production-related information.
  • Disseminate appropriate aspects of reports, as directed.
  • Communicate effectively on daily basis with both internal and external stake holders.
  • Coordinate with other facility Operations' supervisors, as well as other managers and employees.
  • Become familiar with other administrative support staffs to facilitate communication and actions more readily between their offices.
  • Aid in Administering 'best practices' to ensure Operations group is well informed about all matters pertaining to daily operations.
  • Determine priorities and act accordingly.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Additional business curriculum/studies considered.
  • SAP Experience required
  • Office Suite certification is a plus
  • Prefer 3-5 years' related experience, industry specific candidates will be given preference.

  • Proven administrative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Readily handle interruptions.
  • Excellent listening / evaluative ability.
  • Must be organized, responsive, and even keeled.
  • Able to prioritize; both proactively and reactively, as needed.
  • Thorough, accurate, professional.
  • Good time management, problem solving and scheduling ability.
  • PC proficient.



Compensation:


The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis' total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $55-$65K for this salaried exempt role.
