The Role:
The Senior Pricing Analyst is a key contributor to commercial and financial success, dedicated to optimizing product pricing strategies and margin performance across our business units. Using a combination of data analytics, market intelligence, and collaboration with sales and product teams, you will help set and refine pricing structures to maximize profitability and ensure competitiveness in a dynamic marketplace. This role leverages analytical tools and close collaboration with product management to analyze historical data, industry trends, and performance metrics to recommend pricing actions that drive growth and support strategic goals. The Pricing Analyst partners closely with regional commercial teams to develop and communicate actionable insights, support financial planning, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Provide data and analytic support for various commercial activities such as product pricing, margin management, sales booking & commission, KPIs and related deep dives with a very high bar for accuracy and detail as it drives important strategic and compensation decisions.
  • Maintain and improve pricing models using tools like Excel, Power BI, and SAP; administer and validate data integrity within pricing systems. Propose creative solutions to validate, test, correct and explain outputs to other stakeholders
  • Conduct deep dives into product, customer, and regional pricing performance; prepare clear and actionable reports for cross-functional teams.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting processes related to pricing, margins, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and key pricing metrics to monitor performance and identify trends or anomalies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize pricing and margin strategies, collaborating with sales, product, and commercial teams.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and accuracy in pricing operations.
  • Present findings and recommendations to executive stakeholders and support cross-functional project teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Highly proficient in Excel, Power BI, and SAP BI; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of Cognex systems and data structures a strong plus.
  • Strong commercial mindset and business acumen with an ability to translate large and abstract datasets into transaction-level thinking.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a drive for high-quality, consistent results. Genuine interest in math and modeling.
  • Comfortable presenting insights to leadership.
  • Demonstrated initiative in process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven teamwork and the confidence to champion alternative viewpoints when appropriate.

Minimum education and work experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing analysis, finance, business intelligence, or a related commercial analytics role
  • Hands-on experience with analytical tools such as Power BI and Excel; Salesforce experience preferred. Other tools appreciated as well.
  • Hands on experience with any pricing-specific tools/platforms a plus
  • Experience collaborating with sales or commercial functions is an advantage.
  • Project leadership or participation in strategic initiatives is a plus.
