Your tasks
- The IT Technician provides technical support and ensures stability, security, and performance of IT infrastructures and applications, with a focus on production-related systems. This role supports PC users, assists with IT projects, maintains documentation, and contributes to the optimization of IT security. The IT Team Member collaborates with local and divisional IT teams, ensuring smooth daily operations while aligning with GF Casting Solutions' global IT policies.
- Maintain IT infrastructures and applications, particularly those related to production.
- Integrate PC systems into production plants and machines.
- Provide support for PC users and applications.
- Assist the office PC support team and divisional IT team.
- Arrange and manage workstations and meeting spaces.
- Maintain existing IT infrastructures and update documentation of new and existing systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Support departments with IT-related projects, offering consultation as needed.
- Ensure adherence to IT security policies, compliance standards, and company guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers for IT solutions.
- Perform routine system health checks, backups, and patch management to ensure operational stability.
- Track and manage IT assets, licenses, and inventory to support lifecycle management.
Your profile
- Community College degree in Information Technology, or 2-3 years of professional IT support experience.
- Prior experience in IT support and client administration within a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the facility as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., moving IT equipment such as PCs, monitors, or servers).
- Frequent use of hands, wrists, and fingers for typing, configuring equipment, and handling IT components.
- Ability to work in both office and production floor environments, which may include exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving machinery.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, or reach occasionally when installing or maintaining IT equipment.
