Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect (GOC Mission Systems Architect)

The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Strategic Systems Analysis Group (SSAG) supports government and private sector strategic planning, decision making, and program management. SSAG integrates deep client knowledge, advanced analytics, and subject matter expertise to provide timely and objective technical, operational, programmatic, acquisition, and policy analysis.

SPA has a near-term need for a Computer Systems Engineer/Architect.

Responsible for ensuring GOC Mission Systems engineering efforts are aligned to the enterprise architecture. Provides multi-disciplinary support for mission system services, including life cycle management, engineering, integration, and sustainment of required systems and assured connectivity in the GOC and all other locations within the USSTRATCOM Enterprise. Supports the research, planning, development, testing, evaluation, and delivery of holistic IT solutions for GOC Mission Systems. Leads the development, modernization, upkeep, and maintenance of system architectures. Ensures that all enterprise architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to seriously lag or become obsolete. Creates and maintains up-to-date architecture plans and roadmaps and capture architecture metrics.

Required Qualifications:

• Must maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and eligibility for Special Access Required (SAR) programs.
• Bachelor's Degree in information technology, engineering, systems analysis and/or systems architecture. Masters degree in applicable program.
• At least 10 years of DoD operational leadership experience, with extensive responsibilities in National and Nuclear C4 Systems and Architecture solutions for USSTRATCOM.
• Background and experience with strategic deterrence and global strike planning, including knowledge of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) operations and capabilities, strategic nuclear operations, joint integrated operations, joint warfighting doctrine, unified Combatant Command (CCMD) structure, and global command and control constructs.
• 10+ years of experience in critical command and control requirements, inclusive of NC2 and NC3 operational capabilities and procedures.
• Certifications: ITIL v4 Foundations plus one or more of the following DoD 8140 training courses: FITSP-O or GFACT or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP or Security+ (complete within 6 months of hiring)

Desired Qualifications:

• M.S. in Systems Management and/or M.A. in National Security Studies
• Knowledge of national, Department of Defense (DoD), and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) guidance, CJCS Emergency Action Procedures, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Emergency Action Procedures, CJCS Instructions, and Presidential Policy Directives.
• Experience in supporting USSTRATCOM Global Operations Center (GOC) and/or other operations centers at Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, or DoD levels.
