We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our team at Chatham Financial. As a critical member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for protecting our digital assets, ensuring data confidentiality, and building a robust security infrastructure. Additionally, you will take on some of the responsibilities of a Chief Information Officer (CIO), contributing to our technology strategy and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with extensive experience in both cybersecurity and information technology with close familiarity on the impact of AI on both, capable of leading digital transformation and driving business success. In this role you will:
- Develop and implement the company's information security strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of the company's Corporate IT and Infrastructure strategy to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and business growth.
- Oversee the protection of company data, intellectual property, and technology assets from cyber threats.
- Manage IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in IT governance and security.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT and security departments.
Your impact:
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security program that includes cyber defense, AI and data protection, and security operations.
- Define and execute the company's IT roadmap, including system upgrades, integrations, and new technology implementations such as AI tooling and services.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and prioritize remediation efforts to reduce risk exposure.
- Oversee security incident detection, response, and recovery, ensuring swift mitigation of potential breaches.
- Lead and mentor the IT and security teams, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Manage the security architecture, tools, and technologies deployed across the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with data protection laws, such as GDPR.
- Monitor security metrics and report on the organization's security posture to executive leadership.
- Evaluate and select technology solutions and vendors that meet the company's needs and budget constraints.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems and infrastructure to support business operations.
- Lead security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity across the organization.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance security measures proactively.
Contributors to your success:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a senior-level role within a large organization, including positions such as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), or equivalent executive leadership roles.
- Extensive knowledge of information security principles, cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and risk management practices.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data management, and data protection practices.
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEMs, and encryption protocols.
- Ability to develop and implement complex security and IT strategies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at the executive level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Ability to manage a team of security and IT professionals and work cross-functionally with other departments.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT Management, Business Administration, or related fields, or equivalent applicable training and experience with a relevant under-graduate degree.
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity and IT management, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Technology Manager (CITM).
- Experience with cloud security, cloud computing, data analytics, SaaS solutions, and other emerging technologies like blockchain, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI).
- Familiarity with incident management, disaster recovery planning, and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and practices.
- Background in regulatory compliance and data privacy laws in the industry.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Expertise in secure software development, DevSecOps practices, and project management.
