What You Will Do
- Manage patient flow in cast room
* Triage patients * Write history on patient * Evaluate x-ray * Manage physician flow to patients - Oversees Ordering and maintenance of medications for all four clinic locations
* Maintaining the dates for the injectables * Monitoring levels and setting par levels * Sheffield, Westlake, Oberlin, and Lorain - Order Lab supplies for all offices
- Tracking of instruments (Suture kits, pin pullers, etc) used within the clinic being transported to the hospital and back.
- Setting par levels for ordering materials for the clinics (Oberlin, Westlake, and Lorain)
- Ordering and Distributing stock for the medical clinics (Sheffield, Oberlin, Westlake, and Lorain)
- Supervision of orthopedic technicians
- Assist in scheduling orthopedic technicians at satellite offices.
- Training of new ortho techs & cross training Medical Assistants
* Casting, Patient flow, Computer training, Compliance training, Safety training, Records * Minor maintenance and upkeep on equipment within the clinic (Cast saws, cast spreaders, Carts, beds, Ipads, etc...) - Maintain the time trial information
- Oversee the clinical operations of the cast room, responsible for supervising day to day clinical operations, controlling patient flow, and ensuring patient satisfaction within the clinical setting
- Develop training and maintain compliance for new hires. Evaluation, discipline, and appraisals of orthopedic technicians within the cast room.
- To maintain compliance and standards in accordance of (including, but not limited to) Joint Commission, HIPPA and all hospital policies
- Provide training in information management including computers and our systems and all things related to the operations in the clinical setting
- Help adhere to the goals of the practice, while helping to develop strategies and planning to increase patient flow, as well as, patient satisfaction
- Manage budgets to achieve organizational goals as well manage ordering for all clinical supplies and medications and maintaining proper procedures within the joint commission guidelines and hospital policy.

- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
