JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client provides design and contract management for customers who need to have their residential building"s water supply and sewer piping replaced. We are looking for an MEP Engineer or Designer who can handle plumbing design in larger buildings such as multi story condominiums or apartments. This ideally would be someone who can do design calculations, piping layouts and code compliance for both water and sewer design within the building.
This is a part time role, on an as needed basis, but this could turn into a full-time role in the future based on anticipated workload. This is an ideal role for an experienced person who is semi-retired or interested in part time.

Responsibilities include:

1.Select and size piping for multi-story residential building retrofits including central boiler-based systems.
2.Design efficient piping layouts within existing structures
3.Select and size pressure and flow control components.
4.Calculate flow rates based on fixtures type and counts
5.Ensure designs meet applicable codes
6.Perform onsite preliminary investigations with company staff to gather sufficient information to generate designs
7.Perform duct design including sizing and layout for HVAC systems
8.Perform hydronic heating system design including load calculations
9.Perform heating and cooling system sizing calculations
10.Possibly some infrequent and minor electrical design work.

Software/Tools Used:
SolidWorks, Revit, AutoCAD LT, Excel
