Overview
The HealthCare Tech/Customer Service Liaison (HCT/CSL) is a member of the healthcare team who is responsible for performing a variety of integral activities and assisting the unit nursing leadership team to meet unit, departmental and organizational objectives. The HCT/CSL assists with the overall coordination, planning, development and implementation of assigned unit projects and is responsible, in partnership with the Nurse Manager, for promoting and maintaining a high-level customer experience for all patients and families who receive care within the nursing unit. The Unit Assistant facilitates the activities of the nursing unit through the effective performance or receptionist and clerical processes. The HCT/CSL will also be responsible for assisting Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses in the provision of patient care by performing assigned patient care and unit maintenance activities. Qualifications Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: H.S. Diploma/GED, Work Experience: Successful completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); Worked as CNA within past 24 months; Inpatient hospital Responsibilities Maintains current knowledge of relevant protocols and procedures regarding the patient experience. Effectively validates and coaches staff to meet customer service and quality initiatives. Independently, and in consultation with unit leadership, solves complex problems related to unit operations and customer service events. Exhibits empathy to patients and their families by focusing on patients experience, enabling a meaningful relationship that promotes honest patient feedback. Greets visitors, physicians, patients, and staff in a friendly manner. Answers telephone timely, professionally, identifying unit, name, and title Uses and is able to trouble-shoot fax machines, printers, and other technology used on nursing unit Performs Patient care Activities as delegated by the Nurse utilizing applicable policies and procedures to esnure patient needs and expectations are met Provides hygiene needs of assigned patients (AM/PM care, oral hygiene and denture care, perineal care, shampoo, bathing, shaving, care of TED/SCD hose) Provides nutritional needs and elimination needs of assigned patients. (Tray distribution, setting up trays, offering supplements, feeding, foley care, bowel movements, bladder training, external catheters recording intake and output) Provides comfort measures and skin care of assigned patients. (proper positioning, turning, recognition of skin breakdown, operation of special beds, ensuring that bedside table, water pitcher, urinals are within reach) Provides activity needs of assigned patients. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $17.89per hour - $28.98per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
