ANALYGENCE is seeking a Vetting Official to join our team supporting USAID. Working with the Vetting Support Unit (VSU) within the Office of Acquisition and Assistance (OAA), the Vetting Official will undertake assignments that support the formal vetting process for humanitarian programs. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with USAID vetting requirements, policies, and procedures. The Vetting Official (VO) provides technical direction and policy guidance on the vetting of humanitarian programs. The VO receives and coordinates personally identifiable information (PII) from implementing partner recipients and applicants for the purposes of vetting and responds to recipient and applicant questions about information to include on the Partner Information Form (PIF) or to enter in the Partner Vetting System (PVS) portal. The VO coordinates with relevant offices on related matters, conveys vetting determinations to existing or potential awardees and sub awardees as well as to the relevant Contracting or Agreement Officer (CO/AO) and Contracting or Agreement Officer's Representative (COR/AOR), and coordinates with bureau leadership on ineligibility recommendations. The VO engages with implementing partners on the vetting process and assists in responding to complex vetting issues. The Vetting Official reports to the Direct Hire Partner Vetting Lead.



  • Manage the full vetting process from receipt of PII to communication of determinations, ensuring compliance with USAID policies and procedures.
  • Review Partner Information Forms (PIF) and Partner Vetting System (PVS) submissions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; make adjustments in PVS as needed.
  • Provide quality control of vetting data, guide applicants and recipients on required documentation, and direct Vetting Assistants in workload management and data collection tools.
  • Notify Contracting and Agreement Officers, their Representatives, and recipients of results, and maintain tracking of bureau vetting priorities.
  • Serve as senior technical expert on partner vetting for humanitarian programs, advising leadership and program staff on policy and operational issues.
  • Coordinate with the Office of General Counsel and the Office of Acquisition and Assistance on vetting award language and partner communications.
  • Develop, update, and deliver training, SOPs, and guidance for staff and partners; onboard new staff to the vetting process.
  • Support leadership review of ineligibility recommendations and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Participate in interagency, intra-agency, and partner meetings, briefings, and presentations; prepare background documents, memos, and talking points.
  • Maintain and improve PVS data integrity through regular record checks, recommend system enhancements, and oversee filing systems in compliance with information security requirements.
  • Train and support Vetting Assistants in PVS use.
  • Current Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant years of experience in counterterrorism, investigations, compliance, or risk management preferred. (High school diploma with additional years of directly related experience will be considered)
  • Experience working with USAID programs, regulations, and processes is required.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while meeting deadlines. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, integrity, and judgment, with the ability to prioritize and follow up without prompting. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite; proficiency in data entry, information management, and data analysis. Experience handling sensitive information required; prior screening or partner vetting experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.
