Visting Instructor - Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences

The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is seeking applicants for a visiting instructor position.

Duties include seeing patients for the comprehensive and oculoplastics service including same day add ons and urgent cases. May perform surgeries in the minor room as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Medical doctorate (MD) or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from a fully accredited ophthalmology residency.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Certifications

• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Must be board certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology within 3 years of hire.

Desirable Qualifications

• Subspecialty training in ASOPRS approved Oculofacial Surgery.
• Demonstrated medical and surgical skills in Oculofacial Surgery.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
