Job Summary:

The Senior Business Systems Specialist manages and administers the processes related to the installation, configuration, and support of the organization's Marketing Cloud, Marketing Intelligence and customer relationship management (CRM) software and other integrated applications (e.g., Demandbase, On24).,) through best practices and other documented procedures. The Senior Business Systems Specialist will engage in user-centered solution design and development (AMPscript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and aspects of system management, including identity management and troubleshooting support tickets. .

Responsibilities:

  • Develop dynamic content using AMPscript and SQL for personalization and automation.

  • Building and managing dynamic, responsive landing pages, forms, and microsites within Salesforce Marketing Cloud's Cloud Pages.

  • Administer and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including user roles, permissions, business units, and platform configurations.

  • Collaborate with a consulting partner on the implementation and configuration of Salesforce Marketing Intelligence, including data ingestion, harmonization, and dashboard development.

  • Build and manage custom reports and dashboards to track campaign performance, customer journeys, and KPIs across channels.

  • Configure and optimize Marketing Cloud Studios (Email, Journey Builder, Automation Studio) to support campaign execution and analytics.

  • Collaborate with the Business Systems Analyst to define requirements for enhancements, to ensure all technical requirements are being met and translated into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience

  • Manage Marketing Cloud/Marketing Intelligence data to improve data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.

  • Manage user support tickets to troubleshoot and resolve tickets received via the ServiceNow platform.

  • Create and update existing technical design documentation, deployment plans, and user stories for identified issues and enhancement requests.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information sciences or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Engagement and experience with Marketing Intelligence and platform administration, including 3+ years of Salesforce experience.

  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Connect is required.

  • Strong understanding of reporting and analytics within SFMC, including cloud pages, custom dashboards and performance tracking.

  • Experience with data integration, segmentation, and SQL for query automation.

  • Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, CSS and scripting for dynamic content and automation.

  • Extensive experience in supporting standard software development lifecycles and deployment pipelines (e.g., Gearset, GitHub, Jenkins)

  • Experience leading the development and implementation of CRM oriented process changes

  • Knowledge of data management and security in a CRM environment

  • Experience working in project-based work structures

  • Expert level competency in Microsoft Office and other PC productivity tools

  • Experience with data analytics and forecasting - including advanced expertise in writing SQL/SOQL queries and knowledge of Salesforce solutions including Tableau, CRMA and Revenue Intelligence)

  • A good understanding of marketing principles, customer journeys, and campaign optimization.

  • Salesforce certifications such as Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Administrator, Marketing Cloud Engagement Administrator, or Marketing Intelligence Specialist.

  • Demonstrated interest in continuing Professional Development in Salesforce and other integrated platforms (i.e., continued building of certifications and badges)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as the Technical Lead on Marketing Cloud and Salesforce projects

  • Familiarity with tools like Demandbase, ON24, and Mulesoft for marketing data integration.

  • Additional Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder)

  • Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) environments and maintenance of certificates

  • Experience utilizing deployment tools in accordance with best practice methodologies

  • Certification in Salesforce UX Design or other user experience qualifications/experience

At Surescripts, base pay is one part of our Total Rewards Package (which may also include bonus, benefits etc.) and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this position is $109,600 - $134,000 per year. Your base pay may vary within or outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
