HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Senior Analyst, Medicare Stars Ratings. This position is responsible for the development and execution of a dynamic analytics program focused on Medicare Star Ratings. The Senior Analyst works closely with the Program Director and key business partners to uncover actionable insights by applying advanced statistical techniques to both structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conducting predictive modeling, performing retrospective performance evaluations, executing ad-hoc effectiveness analyses, and delivering analytical reports that support strategic decision-making and address complex business challenges. Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in data analytics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, public health, health care administration, health policy or other relevant discipline or equivalent years of related work experience.
- Two (2) years of direct experience in applied analytics, reporting and insights, or quantitative research role. Demonstrable knowledge of, and practical experience in applying advanced analytics, and methodologies to support business decision making.
- Two (2) years of experience and proficiency in creating executive and/or operational level insights using data analysis and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, SAAS, Python, R, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.)
- One (1) year of experience in project management or equivalent role.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated skill and experience in effectively relating to and collaboratively working with directors, managers, and/or supervisors as well as peers.
- Ability to independently execute projects with multiple business stakeholders on firm deadlines.
- Ability to identify opportunities to enhance productivity, increase efficiency, simplicity, and add measurable tangible and intangible values.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supporting the Medicare market or health plan members, especially Medicare Stars improvement, is strongly preferred.
- Experience in working with large structured and unstructured data sets.
- Experience in applying advanced analytics to improve population health, care management, and consumer experience.
Hours/Location:
- Monday - Friday; core business hours
- This position offers remote work flexibility but may require onsite presence for occasional meetings or workgroup sessions, typically averaging once per month.
Responsibilities:
- (70%) - Develops and maintains a reporting process that supports the production and distribution of both routine and ad hoc reporting of insights, outcomes, and results. Assures the production and distribution of well-designed reports and data sets to appropriate plan staff and leadership on pre-defined or ad hoc schedules. Partners with cross-functional teams (data, reporting and data consumers) to build cross-functional reporting insights. Responsible for data compilation, data management, data analysis, and reporting.
- (20%) - Designs and executes quantitative studies and analysis of data to support management action or decision-making.
- (10 %) - Demonstrates effective project management skills, including the use of project planning and tracking tools; development of achievable goals, objectives, and timelines; and innovative use of resources.
