Credentialing Specialist

NaphCare has an exceptional opportunity for a Credentialing Specialist to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for recruiting, credentialing and maintaining the onsite provider networks for our correctional clients.

Position Responsibilities:

Conducts market research across the country to locate appropriate specialties/providers needed for onsite medical services.
• Recruit and contract with providers for onsite medical services.
• Negotiates competitive reimbursement rates and reviews contract language.
• Establishes and maintains positive and productive relationships with providers.
• Educates network providers and staff to ensure efficient and effective implementation of specific workflow processes.
• Coordinates onsite training, required paperwork, and clearance requirements.
• Acts as liaison between correctional facilities and providers.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• A minimum of 1-2 years' credentialing experience
• Understanding of licensing, AMA, and NPDB
• Strong customer service skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, result-oriented environment
