Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

This position is located at our Milan Ohio facility.

This internship is for Fall 2025.



Responsibilities

Apply creative analytical and practical Electrical Engineering knowledge (considtent with a pre-graduate level of skill) to taks of varying complexity within the Aerospace and Defense Industry. Use a self-sufficient and hands-on approach to complete assigned tasks. Interface with technical and non-technical personnel within the orgaization. Seek and obtain experience in multiple aspects of the engineering profession.

Candidates must have a minimum availability of three (3) months.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Support Engineering and Technical Staff in the performance of their day-to-day tasks and projects. The nature of these tasks will vary widely.
  1. Perform non-technical tasks on as-needed (but limited) basis to support incidental business needs. Examples may include clerical, administrative or similar work.
  2. Use SLI AS9100, ISO-9001 business processes as required in the performance of daily duties.
  3. The student will be assigned to a supervisor who will provide a performance evaluation at the completion of the work session. This supervisor will be their point-of-contact on a daily basis, and will determine all task assignments.


Qualifications

  1. The successful applicant is required to be enrolled in an ABET-accredited university and pursuing a BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or a sufficiently-relevant Engineering discipline.
  2. Candidates must have completed a minimum of two (2) semesters of course work prior to the start of work. Candidates must have successfully completed a minimum of one semester prior to application to this position.
  3. Existing schematic capture and PCB layout tool experience using Altium will be a strength in the candidate selection. Experience with OrCAD PSPICE Designer is also relevant.
