Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant position to work with Drs. Lorinda Coombs and Kelly Tan on two studies involving patients with cancer and their caregivers. Dr. Coombs' research focuses on patients with metastatic breast cancer and their caregivers. Dr. Tan's research focuses on developing a resource bridging intervention for caregivers of bone marrow transplant recipients. We invite motivated candidates to join our research groups and contribute to future grant submissions, project management, participant recruitment, and writing of abstracts and manuscripts.

This position is funded through active grants within the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Nursing.

Responsibilities include:

* Participant recruitment
* Data collection, entry, and management
* Data monitoring and compliance with University regulatory bodies (e.g., IRB and Lineberger Protocol Review Committee)
* Participation in team meetings
* Analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Research experience
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Relevant background in field of work is preferred.
* Ideal candidates for this position should be passionate about improving cancer care delivery and health equity.
* Experience recruiting study participants in clinical settings, basic qualitative research and quantitative research, and project management is preferred.
